Zyrkowski and Harbormen in 7th Heaven

Hingham - Senior captain Kevin Zyrkowski delivered his second 2-run single of the game in the bottom of the 7th inning to erase a 7-6 deficit and lift Hingham to a thrilling 8-7 walkoff win over Hanover at Cronin Field. Zyrkowski's heroics spoiled a 5 run 6th inning rally by the Indians which gave the visitors a 7-6 lead. Hingham scored 4 times in the 3rd to grab a 4-2 lead highlighted by a 2-run single by senior centerfielder Andrew Pompeo. Sophomore lefty Rob Madden was outstanding on the hill shutting down the potent Hanover attack before tiring in the 6th. Kevin Zyrkowski came on to get the final 4 outs to earn the win in relief. Hingham improves to 8 and 4 on the season (6 and 3 in the Patriot League) and will play host to Pembroke at Cronin Field on Wednesday.
