Hingham- Senior captain Alex Pompeo made senior day something to remember for the Harbormen scattering 5 hits and giving up no earned run in 6 strong innings to pace Hingham to a 6-2 win over Nauset in game 1 of a doubleheader at Cronin Field. Pompeo, who was making his first ever start on the mound, helped his own cause by driving in 2 runs. Fellow senior Tom Costello also drove in 2. In the second half of the twinbill Sophomore Evan Flanagan turned in 6 solid innings giving up just 1 earned run and striking out 7 to lift Hingham to the sweep with a 7-2 win. Sophomore Stephan White blasted a home run to leadoff the game, part of his 3 hit day. Eddie Bowler drove in 2 runs while Austin Murphy and Harry Pershing both drove in a run. Junior Sean Greene had a 3 hit game with 2 RBI. Hingham closes the regular season with a 15-5 record.
